Welcome to Montpellier!

Every year, the Montpellier-Sète IUT welcomes nearly 100 international students.

A team of 13 people is dedicated to international relations and supporting international students.

The IUT Montpellier-Sète is also part of the ADIUT network (Assembly of Directors of IUT).

ADIUT sets up recruitment and support programmes for foreign students in the following countries: Angola, China, Morocco, Mexico, Vietnam, Sao Tome e Principe

ADIUT Network Countries 

Countries concerned with entry into BUT:Angola, China, Morocco, Vietnam, Sao Tome e Principe

Countries concerned with entry into Vocational Bachelor’s degrees (in French:LPorLicence Professionnelle): Mexico

For these countries, recruitment is only available through the ADIUT network.

Other countries

Apply for a BUT

Students from the European Union or with a French baccalaureate

You must follow the “classic” application procedure as a French student would, namely apply on the Parcoursup platform.

Students outside the European Union and outside ADIUT programme countries

You must send an application file by email to the relevant training department.

This application file includes:

  • A cover letter
  • A resume
  • Transcripts of records from the baccalaureate or equivalent high school diploma
  • Transcripts of records from your final year of high school

These files are to be sent to the department student office to the following email addresses:

Applications are open from January 20, 2022, to April 7, 2022.

The training departments’ responses will be sent to you between June 2, 2022, and July 15, 2022.

Apply for a Vocational Bachelor’s degree (LP)

The student must follow a “classic” application procedure, namely to apply on theE-candidat platform, with the exception of Mexican students, who are recruited solely through the ADIUT programme.

An exchange programme with the IUT Montpellier-Sète

Exchange students study at the IUT Montpellier-Sète within the framework of an agreement between their home university and the IUT (either an Erasmus programme or a bilateral agreement). Exchanges can last either a semester or an academic year at the IUT Montpellier-Sète. 

How to come to the IUT Montpellier-Sète on an exchange programme: 

  1. Check whether your home university is partnered with the IUT Montpellier-Sète 

  1. Contact your university’s International Office in order to apply for an exchange programme 
  2. If you are selected, your university’s International Office will put your name forward to the IUT Montpellier-Sète 
  3. The IUT’s International Office will contact you to provide information about your arrival, including:
  • Completing the online application process
  • Choosing your classes
  • Applying for accommodation 
  • Learning French as a foreign language (in French:FLEorFrançais Langue Etrangère)

French lessons are available for exchange students. 

Any applications sent after the deadline or without your home university’s prior approval will not be considered.
